Your facial skin is affected by sun exposure, loss of elasticity due to age, gravity, and environmental toxins. At a certain point, you may decide it is time to undergo an anti-aging treatment. Cosmetic intervention with BOTOX can be an excellent way to restore a more youthful facial look. BOTOX is the number one cosmetic treatment in the world, for good reason. BOTOX treatments are quick, safe, and the results are phenomenal. If you're in Las Vegas or its surrounding areas, visit LV Plastic Surgery for some of the best Botox Las Vegas has to offer.

What is BOTOX?

BOTOX is a purified form of botulinum toxin. This advanced neuromodulator is a muscle-relaxing agent. The product has been used in many medical therapies for years, even on children. When used cosmetically, its purpose is to calm motor nerve endings (nerves that lead to muscles). The calming effect of the injections creates a smoother, more refreshed look. LV Plastic Surgery offers natural results with BOTOX in Las Vegas. Whether it is your first time receiving BOTOX injections or you have had injections in the past, we can help you look younger – in the most natural way.

Am I a good candidate for BOTOX?

The best candidates for BOTOX treatment are those that are physically healthy with no history of neuromuscular diseases. BOTOX candidates should not be currently pregnant or nursing. Some other health conditions could mean you are not a candidate, but our certified BOTOX injectors will ensure BOTOX injections are safe for you before your treatment.

What happens during a BOTOX procedure?

BOTOX is injected with a very fine needle, called a micro-needle. This needle is placed directly into the muscles creating the lines and creases on your facial skin. Our injectors have years of experience and comprehensive knowledge of facial anatomy. They will pinpoint the exact muscles that are causing lines and wrinkles. There is very little, if any, pain associated with BOTOX injections due to the small size of the needle. You may feel a slight stinging or burning sensation that passes quickly. The entire treatment is performed in-office and is completed within minutes.

When will I see results with BOTOX?

If you are planning a first BOTOX treatment, you may not know that the results take a few days to appear. Roughly 48 hours from your Botox in Las Vegas, you will start to notice an improvement in the dynamic wrinkles treated with BOTOX. The full effects of your BOTOX treatment may not be visible for up to two weeks following the injections. We recommend that you plan well in advance if you are receiving BOTOX for a special occasion such as a wedding or other engagement where you want to look your best.

Is BOTOX the best option?

BOTOX is the “gold standard” in neuromodulators, the first cosmetic injectable of its type to be approved for three facial areas: Forehead, crow’s feet, and lines between your brows. Millions of injections are performed every year, and BOTOX has an excellent safety record.

How does Xeomin differ from BOTOX?

BOTOX and Xeomin share many similarities. They are both used to smooth dynamic wrinkles and expression lines on the face and neck, and both are FDA-approved for treating forehead wrinkles and frown lines between the brows. Like BOTOX, Xeomin also blocks the communication from your nerves to your muscles, which results in a decrease of movement and a smoother facial appearance. The main difference between Xeomin and BOTOX is the formula. Xeomin has only one ingredient, botulinum toxin A. For some patients this may be helpful for those who have developed resistance to BOTOX. Our highly-trained injectors can answer any questions you may have on which injectable is right for you.

How does Dysport differ from BOTOX?

Like Xeomin and BOTOX, Dysport also works with the active ingredient of botulinum type A but is a different version. BOTOX was approved for use in 2002, whereas Dysport was approved in 2009. Although Dysport and BOTOX are both formulations of botulinum type A, their other ingredients are different. Studies have shown that Dysport results are visible several days earlier than with BOTOX injections; however, BOTOX generally lasts longer. Your injector can help you to understand which injectable will best suit your needs.
